Final Year Final Sem

Finally, today is the beginning of my final year final sem.
Have been anticipating for the end of my degree studies...
Maybe 14 more times driving up and down, or more? then I will sit for my last 2 exam papers in UTP. I hope I will not have chance to take anymore exam in UTP after that!!!

As expected, I'm the only chinese in class today, luckily later a junior came to join me.
So today I accepted an unexpected fact...
At the beginning I knew it would be, then someone gave me hope, finally end up it turns back to the beginning point. :(
Whatever~ just face it with a smile :)
14 weeks more to go...

Okay...Tue class cancel...Wed no class...Thursday morning only have class...
So...after cleaning the accumulated dust in room, I drove back again...
Though I not really like to drive alone 2 ways within a day, I can't stand for days in UTP for no reason.

Wishes for my final sem:
1. Having great team members for my FDP, good SVs, and smooth project along the way...
2. Having "harmony" relationship with my 'beloved' lecturer...
3. Be more hardworking!!! go for this view every Mon-Wed by 7pm!!!

OGIP!

This post is designated to the juniors who might be going for OGIP in the coming years~

so this was how the competition going on...

The night of arrival, all the participants gathered to introduce ourselves.

I would say, I like our intro :-

Appetizer - UTP song chorus; Main Course - Name and Ethnic/Nationality; Appetizer - *sound effect*!

Our team, 7 of us, are COLORFUL!!! (Malay, Chinese, Indian, Cambodian & Indonesian!)

Plus, there is a star shining in our team!

After briefing about the smart competition flow and group arrangement (as bottom), we found many problems with the system. So our lecturer argued. I felt like voicing out my mind so I joined the argument too...

From the argument I can conclude that UTP was the Problems Voicer, ITB was the Solution Provider, while UPN was the dunno-how-to-responder.

From here, I could see why ITB is the top uni in Indon. Somehow, I got the feeling that they would be champion the next day...

From the team arrangement, I felt that smart competition is just about the matter of luck!

(then on the day of competition, we found another winning factor)
but still, we tried to have faith on ourselves, were trying our best to maximize the chances to go to final stage...

(actually i started to regret for 'participating' in the argument before~)

So the next day, UTP team A was in group A2, team B in group B1.

Team A met ITB and another strong team, so unluckily eliminated at high mark.

Team B was luckily competing with weaker teams so proceed to the next round.

But unluckily, the excessive Geoscience questions and 'slower' buzzing were still the key factors for the lost.

I wonder why the hosting university team could predict the questions before the MC finish reading?

Besides participating in the competition, Ainin was performing during lunch break too!

Juniors, if you're going for OGIP, please remind the organizer not to repeat the same arrangement as below...

Elimination Stage : 3-4 teams form a group to compete and choose the best 2. [group A1,A2; B1,B2; C1,C2]

Semi-Final Stage : 2 winners from previous stage fight with another 1 or 2 winners. [group A, B, C]

Final Stage : Finally, only ONE team will be selected out of 3 or 4 teams competed in previous stage.

This was why, we questioned about the system besides arguing for the team arrangement...

Each stage started with 5 compulsory questions which ur team randomly pick from the envelope and can only be answered by ur team (only team leader can approach the mic),

then toss-up questions which u need to buzz *quickly* and answer within 5 sec, correct gain 10 mark, wrong deduct 10 mark! if u answered correctly in toss-up, then bonus ques will be given only to ur team with 20 mark gained if correct (no mark loss if wrong).

All questions pronounced by the Indon slang english, visual aids available only if question needed.

So be familiar with In-glish before going!

Basically the flow went like this... part of the story to tell before we forgot by next year~

Escape from UTP to Jogja~

*Finally I wrote in English, to share with my friends in this trip ^^*

Last 29th Feb, eight of us from UTP were going to Yogyakarta (Jogja)

--1 lecturer, 1 for paper contest, 6 (2 teams) for smart competition!

*Thanks UTP for sponsoring our flight (unluckily MAS stop flying there)*

From the beginning, I was so excited and anticipated for this trip merely because I wanted to go Jogja.

But when I knew that Borobudur is not part of the itinerary, my excitement went down yet stress started pressurizing...

UTP had been spending so much on us! The burden to continue the victo

ry last year had always been my burden from the moment I started to take this competition seriously...

*U might notice i stopped blogging for 1 week*

My emotional graph for that 4 days was like increasing from day to day...

1st day : Arrived and prepared for the competition...

2nd day : Competition day...

3rd day : Visited Gunung Merapi & Malioboro Market...

4th day : Prambanan Candi, then departure...

Sadly, both of our teams didn't make it to final...

But at least UTP continued her victory in Paper Contest~!

And yes, we all enjoyed the trip and are getting closer after the trip ^_^

My coursemate from Jakarta, Irshad, told me that there are 2 must-visit-sites in Indonesia

-- 1st is Bali, 2nd is Jogja~

And yea...I visited both in these 2 years~ xP
Maybe next time will come back for Borobudur?

less than 48 hours i will enter my final exam hall for this finals......

48 hours later i will be sitting on the exam chair in main hall, writing my answer on the exam table......

but...

at this time...

ME & Chemi are on their way back their hometown...

some CV are preparing for intern, some will be having their final paper later...

EE is gonna finish today too...

sadly to say...

PE is the last this time, and late for 48 hours somemore :(

We're so glad that AP Chow was able to join us all the way and explaining to us all he knows.
I feel so grateful today~

Have learnt a lot from these real life examples,
rather than looking at the figures in reference books.

Was having fun time along the trip, even there was some moment I felt quite tired.

Before we leave,
we stopped at a tea house,
with a tea farm behind the house.

If the tea house was not so crowded,
it will be my dream place to drink my coffee~
greenery view, comfortable environment, with a cup of coffee drink~(maybe a book xP)
erm~~~imagination already make me feeling so excited!!!

Okay~ It's time for assignment.

p/s : Congratz to all the committees of Talent Search 09!!! It was truly a better one. I can say that this is the 2nd best show I ever had in UTP! (after Melodious Rendezvous)

Big Spending recently~

I promised myself not to go Ipoh so frequent this sem.
And yes, I did it quite well all this while, until~~~

Last Wed, after getting done with the killing test, I asked Gary to bring us to Ipoh for Sushi King for RM2 promotion!!!

cos my loves one dumped me for lunch, so I must make her regret!!! xD

That day was so crowded, and I didn't feel the quality of the sushi is good.
Yet, I had waited for one hour but my Unagi still didn't want to come out!!!
My eyes was staring at the Unagi flooded in the tupperware, but none of the chef wanted to take it out. :'(
I even asked the guy, "Leng Zai (make me wanna vomit!), when the Unagi out?"

End up, he didn't make it out also... waste my saliva!!!

Until after one hour, the time before our time limit reached, Meili saw the Unagi was swimming towards us.
Huhu~ Finally I have my Unagi!!! but...it tasted not as nice as usual :(

Last Sat, going Ipoh again~ This time our first destination is DimSum!!!

The old Foo San looked old, and the new one looks new~
(in terms of the building)
the DimSum was good, but was too crowded, too slow service,
and our stomach space is not enough for us to eat all we want...

After that, had a movie in Jusco, "Pandorum", was quite nice~

Sad to hear that our lecturer, AP Chow was found to get Chicken Pox... Trip without him sure will be a big loss to all of us... :(

Wish Dr Chow will recover soon and join us for the trip :)

Lab 2

This afternoon was having Drilling Engineering Lab 2. (last lab)

This is a Drilling Stimulation
which we were supposed to control the subsurface pressure to prevent Blow Out.

It should be very fun coz it was like playing a Game Station.

But...maybe too much people already, I didn't have mood to touch even a button there.

Instead, I saw a lot of inquiries and kept on asking the lab demo until he seem frustrated!!!

Haha... So basically this is the machine we dealt with today~
