Lab Viva

Yesterday I was having Reservoir Rocks and Fluid Properties Lab Viva. Basically it's just a QnA session between Lab Demo and 5 of us... but it costs 10% of our coursework mark. Thus, we need to be 'serious'....

This sem, I was having 7 experiments for RRFP. Overally all are very fun-- the lab demos are funny guys, the experiments are interesting and easy, the reports are very 'light' work also... There are lot of reasons I prefer RRFP labs than IPG...

Back to the main topic today. Yesterday 5 of us was under Mr Khalib. Once we entered Drilling Lab I, he said he wanna go out awhile--smoking =.='''

We waited patiently, and abit anxious. hehe...

First 2 ques were answered in group, we could discuss among ourselves.
Another 2 ques we had to answer on our own, can't discuss with others.

(I'm not gonna state the ques 1 by 1 here...)

In summary, we attempted many questions, and those 2+2 which we answered correctly considered our 'real' ques, those answered wrongly de...he would just forget about them! Hahahahahahaha....how lucky we were to have him as our "Viva master".

And hopefully he won't cheat us... XD

Today Annie mentioned about going to sing k after exam. She wanna sing 蔡健雅《原点》with me, this song is challenging for me actually cos not easy to follow the rhythm.

Then I switched to 咕叽咕叽, suddenly think of Mai, Cat, WeiLeng, Huiyan. (should be 5 of us if not mistaken) Do you all still remember the time when we sang this song in Sg. Wang Green Box? 5 of us were fighting to sing out loudly though we were unable to catch up the tempo. Hahahaha.....sweet memory~~~

Trip to Ipoh

Yesterday I went Ipoh with my roomie~YunChuan, LeeChon, Annie & Johnny. Luckily this time the lazy snake didn't let go our plane. :P

Once we reached Jusco, the sushi crazy-lover 'rushed' to Sushi King and we just followed her. Looking at the sushi passing by, I felt not very interested on most of them, only picked a few. So I ordered another dish--Udon Curry!!! (it's HOT!!! thermally)

And this is the whole stack we've eaten. (see what Johnny does to Annie XD)

Then, we went shopping lo~~~

This was the first time I bought thing in Skin Food. The girl entertained me is very cute. We had a funny chat and finally I bought a watermelon mask.

YC bought Tea Tree Essence (for trouble skin)

and.... before we left, the girl gave both of us many samples. Hehe... YC and I were laughing happily like 'Aunties'. Lolz!!!

Later we went to Popular to buy some stationery in Popular. YC found these 2 books and each of us bought each. :)

My aim today was buying shoes and slippers actually. I'd entered few shops, yet it's hard to find one which I like and suit me. (haha! say like finding husband)

Leaving Jusco, we continued our trip to Parade...

When I'm finding slippers, I saw these Zebra shoes in Red Madoni. Quite cute & cheap, so I bought it.

When it's almost the time to leave, I still hadn't get my slippers yet, plus the one I wore were almost worn out, so I decide to buy this 'Indian Slippers' in the last shop I visited to-- Chadstone.

Suddenly feel like shopping is like finding a husband, when time is almost up, you need one and you have to pick one, maybe you would just simply pick one.

Anyway, I wish I won't be ended up like this in the future. XD

After leaving Parade, we went Tong Shui Gai nearby to have our dinner. I had Chu Cheong Fun and Mix Fruits Snow, but forgot to take pictures. hehe XP

Angel vs. Devil

This semester, for Introduction to Petroleum Geoscience course, I have two lecturers, namely Mr. A and Mr. Z.

Before mid-sem break, we were under Mr. A. He is an Angel. His teaching is clear in terms of direction and instruction. The lesson outline is more systematic. If got quizzes, he will sure inform us nicely. Every lecture notes, information, announcement... he will post all in E-learning. We felt "safe and secure" under him.

In contrast, Mr. Z is an Devil for us. He never post anything to E-learning. We must go to get the notes on our own. Then the notes do not seem to be comprehensive somemore. After I study, I felt interested in Seismic but then it's hard for me to understand what I'm studying. To be honest, I felt very uncertained under him.

This morning, once I enter the lecture hall, I saw this on the screen :

Maybe I was not in correct mood this morning. I was complaining about him and copying Chiew at the same time. (Thanks and sorry to Chiew)

I started to miss Mr. A class, started to do comparison, talked a lot of nonsense while Chiew, Shanny them were busying searching for answer from notes as it's an open book quiz. (They might feel that I was annoying, sorry...hehe...)

Then, the concept of Angel vs Devil was brainstormed.

Luckily, he asked us to mark the quiz paper among ourselves. So i switched with Hui Chie. Haha... What we did on it, need no long explanation here right?

In conclusion, Mr. Z is an Evil mix Angel for me. And this morning he wore black and white shirt. To suit the Theme??? hehe... :P

Breathing Therapy

To Mei Li, this is a so-called "User-Friendly" post. hehe....

我們有左邊、右邊鼻孔，吸氣、吐氣時有沒有一樣？

We have left, right nose, is that the same for inhale and exhale?

其實不一樣，可以感覺不一樣；右邊等於是太陽的意思，左邊等於是月亮。

Actually they are different, can feel the difference; right side represent the sun, left side represent the moon.

平常頭痛時可以用手把右邊鼻孔關起來，只用左邊鼻孔吸氣、吐氣，約五分鐘，頭痛就好了。

When having headache, try to close right nose and use your left nose to do your breathing, about 5 min, headache will be gone.

如果疲倦、累了，相反的關起左邊的鼻孔，只用右邊吸氣、吐氣，不用多久，馬上精神好起了。

If you feel tired, do it the opposite round, close your left nose and breathe through your right nose. After a while, you will feel your mind is fresh again.

因為右邊屬於火氣，比較會熱，左邊比較會涼。

Right side belongs to heat, so it gets hot easily, left side belongs to cold.

女生大部分吸氣、吐氣在左邊，所以心比較會涼快。

Most of the girls breathe with their left nose, so their heart gets cold easily.

男生大部分吸氣、吐氣在右邊，所以他們比較會生氣。

Most of the guys breathe with their right nose, so they get angry easily

我們起床時，可以注意哪邊吸氣、吐氣比較快？左邊或右邊？

Do you notice the moment we wake up, which side breathes faster? Left or right?

如果左邊比較快，覺得提不起精神，可以關起左邊鼻孔，用右邊呼吸，很快的精神會好起來。

If left is faster, you will feel tired. So, close your left nose and use your right nose for breathing, you will get refresh quickly

這也可以教給小孩，大人用更好。如果你有警覺心的話，速度更快。

This can be taught to kids, but the effect will be better if apply by elders.

以前我曾經頭痛，痛得非常厲害，去看醫生，醫生說：你去結婚就好了！（眾笑）,醫生說得沒錯，他有理論根據。

I used to have headache, it was so painful, go to doctor, doctor told me: it will be all right if you married! (All audients laugh), doctor does not bullshit, what he said is supported with proofs.

當時每天晚上都頭痛，沒有辦法看書，有吃藥，也不是辦法。

That time, every night I am having headache problem, not able to study, I did take medicine, but that is not a good way.

有一天晚上靜坐，關起右鼻孔呼吸，這樣子做，不到一個禮拜，頭痛好了！持續做了一個月，從那天晚上到現在，一次也沒有頭痛過。

One night, I sit down and close my right nose and breathe with left nose, less than one week, my headache problem is gone! I continue to do it one month, from that night until today, headache does not attack me anymore.

這是我自己親身經驗過，每一次我告訴別人，你們頭痛的話，試試看，因為我的身體有效果，很多人試過也有效果。這是一種自然的處理，不像吃藥會有副作用，為什麼不用呢？

This is what I experienced myself, I told others, if headache, can try this way, because this is effective for me. Many people have tried and it works for them as well. This is a natural therapy, not like medicine, taking for long term will get side effect. So, why not try it out?

經常清楚的吸氣、吐氣，身體會覺非常輕鬆。

Always breathing your body can feel very relax. The sentences below are some wishes from author. Wish everyone is well and healthy, and advice people must do good and act good

Coffee 咖啡之恋

爱环绕在空气中那浓郁的咖啡香，喜欢经过Starbuck and Coffee Bean 的感觉。朋友说我上瘾了，可我不这么认为，因我独爱它的郁香，但总觉得它入喉时味道却不怎么了。或许，我喝的Nescafe没有我所期待的品质吧？

幻想自己在蓝天白云（最好有高原的宜人空气、绿油油的风景）下品尝着浓浓香香的咖啡，放松身心，让恼人的思绪给简化掉，平平静静的……身边最好不要有闲杂人（有喜欢的人陪伴还可以）……

就这样，静静的…闭上双目……慢慢地 贴近茶杯，自然呼吸……让咖啡的微粒子随着空气而入，让嗅觉尝尝咖啡的滋味……

轻轻地把唇靠向杯口，把手稍微向前斟，让咖啡自然流入口中，一点一滴的，不要太多……觉得满足了，就把杯放回小碟子上。缓缓的向张望四周，把目光停留在吸引自己的一角，慢慢享受……
